Kinja'd!!!

My vehicular story has been very fruitful for a broke college student, since 2013 I have owned five cars and currently own two.

This post is really looking back on one of the best cars I honestly could have owned. My 1993 Ford Crown Victoria.

I look at my jeep and it’s front end is in the air as I try to track down a grinding noise coming from the front end relegating me to the Fox body, no complaints, but that bring me to the first point on my old Vic.

1. Unparalleled reliability, you will never have an American car as reliable than a Crown Victoria. They were built incredibly simple to when it is on the side of the road it won’t take much to get it back on.

2. Comfortable. Everybody who ever rides in an old crown Vic will never leave unhappy, it’s smooth and you never feel anxious. You get in the back and it almost feels like you’re a kid again with grandma at the helm squinting as she evaluates when to merge her battle cruiser into the next lane. Unless you’re a criminal, the you just feel unsettled...

3. Not that slow. I scoff at people about the V8 in the crown Vic. It’s not built to outrun the Bro in the mustang, it’s built to get to highways speeds filled with adults without straining itself. And stay there.

4. Gas mileage.... *cough

My friend asked me the other day if I liked the jeep more than the Vic. The answer is this.

I don’t like it more or less than the Vic, I honestly like them equally for what I needed them to do and they do it flawlessly.

The way I see it I can’t really replace the Vic because the Jeep and the Fox are not entry level luxury boats, ones a commuter cat and one is a Utility Wagon. I can’t compare them to it.

One day I want another crown Vic, but later in life when the opportunity to aquire a new one for the same price as my older one comes around.

The new owner drove two hours to buy mine, he owns a modified Vic and wanted one to just drive daily. It's in good hands.

At that point you can buy a Mercury and get a higher level of luxury. (AND POWER IF YOU GET A MARAUDER - YOU SHOULD GET A MARAUDER)
